Hookipa Beach Park
Our first stop at the beginning of the Road to Hana coastline is beautiful Hookipa Beach. There you will likely see people surfing and wind surfing, along with pronounced rock features. Many times, the number of turtles at Hookipa is more than the number of people. Many sea turtles congregate here to rest and sunbathe.
Kaumahina Wayside Park
This may be the one photo opportunity that captures the essence of the iconic Road to Hana more than any other. Winding roads along a sun-drenched tropical coastline stretching on for miles and miles… It is a beautiful sight and sets the tone for the exciting path ahead!
Hana Highway Bridges
Marvel at nature as we pass gushing waterfalls and river carved gulches! There are so many natural streams and waterfalls to pass on HWY 360, that we will cross 59 bridges as make our way around the hidden coast of Maui. You really get the sense that you are travelling back in time visiting a place untouched from the modern world.
Puaa Kaa Waterfall
Puaa Kaa State Park is a beautiful place with one of the best swimming holes on the planet. The falls feed down into a pristine bowl of fresh water that attracts swimmers from all over the world. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to immerse yourself in these healing waters of Maui!
Keanae Peninsula Outlook
The Keanae Peninsula is located just off the Road to Hana, but there is a great overlook where we will peer into the interesting community below. Filled with wet taro fields and sustainable agriculture projects, one gets the feeling that not much has changed down there in the last 200 years. There’s also an old Hawaiian village, and a church that was built in 1856.
Waianapanapa Beach Park
Waianapanapa may very well be the crown jewel of the whole Hana area of Maui. I cannot think of many places more beautiful anywhere in all of Hawaii. Rocky outcrops meeting the shore forming caves and blowholes, the crystal blue waters… Tropical vegetation and fruit bearing trees everywhere, blue skies and black sand… This is the Hawaii from your dreams.
Honokalani Beach
Honokalani is located inside of Waianapanapa State Park… It is more than just a black sand beach. You will understand when you visit here and feel the energy. It was historically a very important place for Hawaiians, and it is deemed as sacred by the Hawaiian people. Encompassing the beach, there are lava caves, wind-twisted foliage, Hawaii’s largest known heiau (temple), stone arches, and blow holes. Witnessing the beauty of this place is not something to be missed.
Hana Bay & Lunch
We have reached our destination… Hana Town! We’re going to make our way out to the iconic Hana Bay and find the beach park. There we will enjoy the beautiful sights and dig into a delicious Hawaiian Style lunch that already comes included in your tour price. Take a deep breath… Enjoy the moment, you’re now in one of the most remote areas on the planet. Just set your phone to vibrate… Oh yeah, it doesn’t work anyway!
Kipahulu & Kaupo
You have been journeying through the Land Before Time… Now prepare to see the landscape completely transform before your eyes. After our stop in the town of Hana, we begin our journey back to West Maui by going through the districts of Kipahulu & Kaupo. Marvel as the landscape transforms from lush rainforest to dry, windswept, and sundrenched land. You are now witnessing the very back side of the Haleakala Mountain. Enjoy the off-road adventure!
Round Trip Maui Transport
Whatever hotel you are staying at on Maui, we will provide comfortable round trip transportation in our limo-style mini-coaches. Just the right size to make sure you can enjoy the Road To Hana Adventure without being being too crowded.
